SMS Consent & Messaging Disclosure

SendMeDocs uses text messages to deliver secure document upload links to recipients. This page describes how we use SMS, what messages you can expect, and how to opt out.

Voice consent script

Before sending a text message, our users obtain verbal consent from the recipient using the following script:

“I’d like to send you a text message with a secure link to upload your documents. You may receive additional messages such as reminders. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out. Do you consent?”

What messages will I receive?

If you consent, you may receive the following types of text messages from SendMeDocs:

  • A secure link to upload requested documents
  • Reminder messages if documents have not yet been uploaded
  • Confirmation that your upload was received

Message frequency

Message frequency varies. You will typically receive 1–5 messages per document request. Messages are only sent in connection with a specific request from a business you have a relationship with.

Opt-out

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from SendMeDocs. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts will be sent. To resume messages, reply START.
