Connect Claude or ChatGPT to SendMeDocs. Manage document requests through plain conversation — no switching between tabs.

Connect Claude

Works with any Claude plan. No API key needed.

1. Open Connectors

Go to Settings (bottom-left) and click Connectors.

2. Add the SendMeDocs connector

Click Add custom connector and paste the server URL:

Click Add.

3. Sign in and authorize

You'll be redirected to SendMeDocs. Sign in with your passkey, choose an organization, and click Allow.

That's it. The connector appears in your chat immediately.


Connect ChatGPT

Requires a Pro, Team, Enterprise, or Edu plan.

1. Enable Developer Mode

Go to Settings > Apps & Connectors > Advanced Settings and turn on Developer Mode.

2. Create the connector

In the Connectors section, click Create. Enter a name (e.g. "SendMeDocs") and the server URL:

https://sendmedocs.com/mcp

Save.

3. Sign in and authorize

Same as Claude — you'll be redirected to sign in with your passkey, choose an organization, and click Allow.

4. Start chatting

Open a new chat, select the SendMeDocs connector, and ask away.


What you can ask

Once connected, try:

Your AI calls SendMeDocs on your behalf — same secure system, same organization, just driven by conversation.

Good to know

Real emails, real requests. Creating a request sends an actual email and counts as one request from your monthly pool. When the pool is empty, overflow requests use your purchased credit balance. Most AI clients will summarize the recipient and items before calling — confirm carefully, as the server itself does not gate sends on a separate confirmation.

One org at a time. The connector uses whichever organization you chose during setup. To switch orgs, disconnect and reconnect.

Your passkey, your data. The connection uses your existing SendMeDocs login. No passwords or API keys to manage. To revoke access, remove or disconnect the connector inside the AI client (Claude or ChatGPT) — that invalidates its token.

Third-party AI handling. When you use Claude or ChatGPT to drive SendMeDocs, request data and recipient details pass through that AI provider's systems and may be retained or used per their policies. SendMeDocs does not control how those platforms process or store this data. If you handle regulated data (HIPAA, financial), check whether your AI provider's terms cover your use case before connecting.

Troubleshooting

"Unknown Client" or blank page during authorization The connector registration may have failed. Remove the connector and add it again.

"No Organizations" error Your SendMeDocs account isn't a member of any organization. Log into the dashboard and create or join one first.

Connector not showing tools Refresh the page or restart the app. If the connector was just added, it may take a moment to sync.
